Cookie Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. This page lists every one ToolQuilt uses, and every other piece of browser storage it touches, with what each is for and how long it lasts.
Strictly necessary
These are set by the web framework and cannot be turned off without breaking the parts of the site that use them. They carry no advertising value and are not shared.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
csrftoken |
Cookie | Proves a form submission came from this site and not from an attacker's page. Set when you use the contact form or the admin. | 1 year |
sessionid |
Cookie | Keeps you signed in to the administration area. Only ever set for site administrators, never for ordinary visitors. | 2 weeks |
cc-theme |
localStorage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. It is not a cookie: it is never sent to the server and never leaves your device. | Until you clear site data |
Analytics
None. There is no Google Analytics tag and no alternative. Nothing on this site measures you.
Advertising
None. This site shows no advertising today and sets no advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced, this section will list what it sets before it goes live, and the date at the top of this page will change.
Embedded content
There is none. No YouTube players, no social embeds, no comment widget, no externally hosted fonts. Every script, stylesheet and font this site uses is served from its own domain, which is why there is nothing from a third party here to disclose.
How to remove them
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and site data, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Clearing site data for this domain removes everything above, including your theme preference, and the site will simply go back to its light default.
You can also block cookies entirely. The tools will still work, because none of them depends on a cookie. Only the contact form and the admin sign in would stop working.
